Head of Editorial · NorthRadar Media
I joined NorthRadar as Head of Editorial after eight years covering enterprise software markets as an independent analyst. In that time I reviewed hundreds of software products across multiple categories, ran RFP processes for mid-market companies, and watched a lot of vendor marketing masquerade as independent research.
What drew me to NorthRadar was the methodology question. Most media companies treat research methodology as a formality — something you write down because it looks professional, not because it actually constrains what you publish. Rajat built NorthRadar with the methodology as the foundation. The editorial standards we operate under are real, they cost us things (we turn down advertising relationships that would compromise them), and they are the reason our readers trust what we publish.
My job is to make sure the methodology holds as we scale. That means training editorial teams on each property, reviewing research before it publishes, and being willing to send pieces back when they do not meet our standards. We publish less than we could. We are more careful than we need to be for short-term traffic. That is the right trade-off.
I cover IT operations and finance technology personally, and I oversee editorial across all five verticals. I care deeply about the quality of B2B software research — not because it is abstract, but because the people reading it are making real decisions about tools they will use every day.
